Arizona Chickens

Maremmas are good dogs too. All of these dogs coats will help insulate from the heat here. All of my experience comes from Texas and La. where it's very humid and hot in the summer. They control their temp pretty well naturally and require little care. I love working dogs no matter what job they do. Do you have any LGD now?

I do not have any LGDs anymore, had those girls until they were very old & could no longer get around, one went completely blind & deaf. They were awesome dogs! I do miss them.
I have spun up Great Pyr fur, very soft. Another reason I liked the Anatolians was the upkeep of the fur. I have a friend in CO with Kongols to guard her llamas & alpacas & she's very happy with them. I have my 17 yo IG, a 10 yo Aussie & an 11 yo cattle dog.

Hey everyone! I still have the seed box and will be coming down to the Valley Oct. 1-3 or thereabouts. My granddaughter was finally born! She was due on the 9th and made her appearance on the 21st. I can officially say I am old now that I'm a Grandma! I should be in Chandler area on the afternoon of the 1st then at Mayo Clinic North Phoenix on the 2nd and hope to head home either that afternoon or the following morning of the 3rd. Whoever wants it PM me or quote me here and we can meet up somewhere or I can get it back to @CityFarm since I think she is hosting a party mid-October. I got some great seeds and added some of my own to the box. Weather is finally cooling down. I got 4 eggs a couple days in a row, then back to only 2 today. My Leticia has had no feathers on her neck all summer. I though maybe she was getting pecked or someone was pulling them out. I keep expecting them to grow back. I check them all the time for mites or lice and nothing. Other than that, no signs of molting over here.
Congratulations! You have a very beautiful family!

Looking for a more accurate way to maintain humidity: Would this work in a styrofoam-type incubator? The randomness of how much water to put in the bottom of my Hovabator is killing me! http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Waves-Humidipak-Automatic-Humidity/dp/B000OMG0KI Description on Amazon: Humidity Control
The Planet Waves Humidipak system is a patented "two-way" humidification system that can add or reduce humidity within an instrument and its case. This eliminates the guesswork and maintenance commonly associated with other humidification products.
It's All Relative
The Humidipak system lets a musician store their instrument and feel confident that it will be kept at a constant level of relative humidity. The 45%-50% relative humidity level that the Humidipak resides at is ideal for protecting and preserving the finish and wood of an instrument.

Get yourself some of those small Mason jelly jars, also new unused sponges. Soak the sponges, roll up 1 sponge per jar & place in each 4 corners of your incubator. Also, fill with water on day 18 to bring the humidity up. Cheaper than ordering something online & readily available at your local grocery store.

Hello All,
I am looking to get 2 hens, would prefer bantams, Ideal would be seramas. I am in Maricopa, Az & I can drive to pick up if the bird is right. I am looking for smaller chicks only, would like unique colors/patterns if possible. Egg production is not an issue, just would like them as pets and to help eat the bugs that pop up in my back yard. More quiet birds are ideal, but mosltly just want smaller ones that are friendly! :)

Message me & let me know what you have or however you like! :)
Thanks

TK
