Arizona Chickens

My friend took some eggs from me and out of 4 duck eggs 3 made it to hatch day but only Milagro made it out alive. My duck is a first time layer and had only been laying a few weeks when he took some eggs so they were tiny eggs and I really did not expect any to grow. Well here is my little miracle duck. she fits in the palm of my hand. The following pics is Chickadee the chick he hatched out for me and Milagro. The best of friends. :)
What breed of chicken?

Well, here they are. I know some of the pictures are blurry, but they are so active they don't really keep still long enough to take a picture of without blurring lol. The ones that looked weaker are better now. I can only barely tell which ones they were. One of them dunked his rear end in the water and spent an while cheeping because he didn't like being wet. When I found which one it was, I sat him under the heat lamp and all is well now. There are only two breeds. Buff Orpington pullets are the darker ones and the lighter straight run chicks are slow White Broilers. They are very easy to tell apart.

Awww! Chick Frenzy!

I'm still trying to figure out this whole "reply" deal.
But the ch-rampoline thing....

I have one that I'm not sure if it is going to make it. Sleeping a lot, not really eating or drinking. Then a few minutes ago, I saw him drinking. Yay!

In case anyone missed it, I have the seed box and am heading back to the Valley next week. You don't want to miss out on getting your hands on this thing. Seeds collected and gathered from AZBYC members over the last couple years, passed around throughout this great state of ours. A gardener's dream!

I will be in Chandler area on the 1st, then up to Scottsdale Rd/101 on the 2nd. I can meet up with anyone along the way, wherever you are. If you want it please let me know here or send me a PM. If I don't hear from anyone I will drop off with @City farm on Wednesday afternoon.

Mention the word brew & boy does that sound eggciting.. Not only for us humans, but for our flock..
I hear they love the spent grains! Once it cools off we plan on getting started. Defiantly a dark brew

If you ever make it to the old Bisbee Brewery, ask for a glass of the Royal Porter. Definitely dark, and not to be missed! They also have half gallon jugs you can purchase and fill with the brew of your choice.

You can't look at Chicks running around and not smile. I had a price of aluminum sheet metal that was hoop shaped. I put it in with them when I had mine cause I heard they loved it. Uh they do. They just run through for no reason. Pretty comical.
