We used bird netting from American Netting. It's been up for three years and it's holding up well. What did you use for netting to go across the top I've looked and to cover a 10-foot by hundred foot section on top would be quite expensive. Also don't worry about the rabbits I have had it with them LOL this weekend I will be teaching my son to build a snare and skin rabbits I haven't had rabbit stew for quite a few years lol
The coop is on the left, the run on the right with the netting over it.
The back end near the gate has welded wire over it because we already had it so we used it. The rest is covered by the netting.
I have a couple of pet doves. I keep them because I love the sounds they make. Mine are a ring neck and a diamond dove.So I have a dove that continues to get into the school chicken coop and just beat the living crap out of their face and under wings. I'm taking him/her home today and letting them go there, hopefully he will fly off somewhere else, and NOT die in the school chicken coop. If he ends up there again, I swear i'm going to just leave him there.
My teacher trimmed his wings thismorning.... does that make them inable to fly? Should I just keep him as a pet? He would make a good pet <3 His name is Bucky <3 XD
I have two Biel crosses and they seem to do fine in the heat. I've only had a pure bred Biel for a few weeks, long enough to get fertile eggs from him, so I don't know how different they are in terms of heat tolerance. I thought with their large combs they would be too bad in the heat. This is precisely why I've been crossing my Biels with more heat tolerant breeds. I really like the Biels, but I most definitely will not be pure breeding them or buying any more. They simply aren't heat tolerant
