Arizona Chickens

@Bobby Basham a convection oven blows air around in the oven and cooks faster as a result. It's an adjustment but worth it to get stuff cooked faster so I can turn it off.

We are getting an LG convection at the end of this year with my husbands bonus. Can not wait!

Today I got feather fixer from tsc for first time the chickens wouldn't eat it and it smells of peas and broccoli lol

I'm going to try it wet tomorrow I have 4 regrowing feathers and 5 more will start soon I'm sure

I saw that tsc changed their meal worm brand and it's cheaper got 30 Oz for 20 dollars
Hi, how do you get your chickens to eat meal worms? I saw that they are expensive at TSC so I bought them from Amazon. I did not realized 11 lbs of meal worms is a lot, I figure my flock of 12 will devour them, nope, none of the chickens will eat them. They do love the live worms though. Amazon has pretty good prices for live worms.

are they young chickens? i know when they are young they aren't thrilled with them, but soon it will be the treat they go crazy for.

if they are older and they are used to live worms that might be why the dried isn't so hot to them

Maybe you could try mixing some of the feather fixer in with the regular feed when you make the wet feed and see if it will work like that?

You know its not a snake.:lau
The ovens that produce cereal and toast it occasionally will get excess dough dropped from process nozzles. After it gets baked, it goes thru automation into box. :yuckyuck
True, but it can be very disturbing to see a dark, snake-shaped object pop into your bowl first thing in the morning, dont you think? Im sure meet the bubus knows this, but is taking a comical approach to a gross cereal mishap.

I bought this practically new house in 2008, and had to buy all my stainless steel appliances. They are all in great shape and wondering what I should do with them before I replace them. I don't do Ebay or Craigs List, and thought about donating them to Habitat for Humanity, or maybe just Good Will. These were not cheap when I purchased them and I think they're still worth some money.

I need to do some more reading about convection ovens and how they work. All the stoves I've checked out have one convection and one regular ovens.
Habitat for Humanity is a great place to donate them...
Not only do you get a write off, but someone who needs them (or a flipper) will be able to reduce their costs on something they really need... many of the items in my house have been purchased from Habitat or Stardust... Thank-you!
plus Habitat is more equiped to deal with appliances

Back to the cockroach problem...
The area in front of my house has decorative wood mulch... once or twice a year I rake it out, and add it to my backyard (chicken paradise). About 2-3 months ago my husband sprayed poison in it (grrrr) the bugs are back, so my husband says it safe for the chickens.... Do I take a chance on letting the chickens at the mulch and the bugs in it?
