Arizona Chickens

:frow i sure do ;):D , but o golly dont get me started....lol..HA View attachment 1253297 ok i will go look for a few pics to post, this first necklace above was from my goddess collection i made from used electrical copper wire & Bisbee blue turquoise, its my favorite and i kept it for my self , i hand made all of it including the chain & clasp. i made some very heavy copper belts, of this type design but with some larger turquoise nuggets on them .next i made a lot of art frames out of dried desert weeds & using an old x mass card of angles, i also made a cuckoo clock like that same type design of dried desert plants sticks vines & twigs with tiny elves walking up a real quarts crystal stair case leading to the door way under the clock face were the elves that keep the clock running live :D..lol.. i just though id toss in some other pics, of the mediums i worked in, over the years, i also have worked in clay, metal, wood, plaster, rocks, feathers Ha yeah right feathers , most people dont usually have lots of feathers lying all around their yard...lol.. & lastly in art photography & even more i have created over the years as gifts , and creative gifts of food HA but i cant remember it all HA, plus some was lost when we moved from state to state , so the list goes on , into infinity for me since its always all about the next design from an un tapped medium for me , its what makes me happy , i tend to make several pieces in a row of the same medium & type of design form , then i get tired of it , so there are just a few pieces left of each as all good things must come to an end...lol... and then the next art design wants to come into the world and so it goes, any thing found i like i use as or in an art project..lol.. i never buy any thing from the store for my art protects & use only what i find , except for maybe a tiny bit of paint that some one years ago had gifted me , but i have made my own paint to , since im pretty driven when the art energy comes around & some thing from out of the ether's wants to come into physical form & picks you to be its creator...lol.. im sure all you artists out there know exactly what i mean , & when that happens i dont eat or sleep & forget to drink water ...lol.. nothing like getting really involved...lol.. right HA:lau:lol::p, well so these are only pics i have of some of my different art, plus shadow boxes i made with dried flowers & leaves & other desert dried plants along with the image of a flower fairy princesses out of the realm of dreams , sorry that pic was not coming up..? , plus i also made round boxes in this same type art form they were my fairy boxes but not one is left they were all sold and not one pictures exist of then , next is my yule solstice card, i just wanted a different kind of holiday card...lol.. so from the last of my flying saucer squash & tiny tomatoes in my garden that year, i created this yule solstice card, but sorry im still looking for my other jewelry pics, i think i have them all on a different CD some were...????? i will look for them . i dont have pics of all the jewelry i made over the years since some sold before i could take pic's of them, & because i didn't have a good working camera at the time.:hmm:rolleyes::p View attachment 1253297 View attachment 1253299 View attachment 1253311 View attachment 1253311 View attachment 1253299

You do fantastic work! Very beautiful.

I wish mine would go broody someplace where I could collect the eggs. My birds start laying under the deck when they about to go broody. And I am not about to crawl under there to fish them out.

Edited to add that I have nightmares about piles of rotten unhatched eggs exploding under the deck... Yuck!

I HAVE THE SAME NIGHTMARES TOO!

So, I have a little bantam hen that I call broodie chicken. Her sister is bad chicken. I noticed she was missing about 15 days ago. About 10 days when I was giving the flock their daily treats she came flying from the scrub area. They are both so small they can squat down and squeeze under the gate. My husband fixed that yesterday. So the little bigger would wait till I got tired of watching her stroll around. Taunting me like nothing to see here! Only to vanish again. Yesterday I fooled her and hid around the corner. There she went under the gate acrossed the driveway to the first bush. Low and behold there she was growling at me guarding her 6 eggs. I waited till dusk and fetched them. Two of the eggs hatched last early this morning!

Well, now you have some more bantams. That chicken math got you, rather you wanted it to or not. :jumpy:jumpy

@cactusrota That little blue one in there looks like my 2 blue ones that hatched from the green egg laying girl after they hatched.
Ya, I wing sexed that blue one as a boy. There's a few others that are showing some blue, and a couple of them are girls. Lots of different colors, one little black girl with a black comb, and red one with no bow tie at all.

Well, I don't need another Blue boy because I am keeping one of my 2 Blues and I believe him to be a boy. I like his straight comb coming in.

OK I have a rant and I wanted to rant on my fave chicken forum bc fellow chicken lovers would probably feel the same.

So I'm watching a YouTube video of someone bringing home adult chickens. They grab at their tail and pull to try to capture them. They put several in boxes and pile those boxes in the back of a van the very back and drive 200 miles where they found 6 of them had died during transport... ummm no wonder you stressed them out piled them in with hardly any air no food, water,

And to me what's worse is they are popular, passing themselves off as experts or something and showing others how to do things the wrong way

I mean, we all know they are great animals, they need to be treated kindly, they can learn their names, and communicate through body language, I taught mine some signs they always know when treat time is, they recognize sounds etc...

I mean isn't it always the case those who can't teach?:he
