@Bobby Basham Since Diannastarr posted about teaching chickens earlier and I was just at youtube and came across this chicken video.... I know that you have piano's, so maybe you can teach one of your chicks how to play it!

Those pictures are adorable, I love looking over my old pictures when the girls were chicks. And you are correct, there is nothing funnier than when chickens attempt to run full speed!

yeah they are so adorable aren't they thou , but what a hoot they just crack me up....lol.. watching all of them running as fast as they can go , i think its good for them to get a bit of exercise in, for any chance of winning future chicken races...lol... ...lol.. ...lol....

Does anyone here hatch their own chicks, or do you get them from a hatchery or feed barn? I want to get another chick since one of mine died last night. It was really sad, I found her trapped under a small piece of plywood I had used to close off the pen at night. I think my kids had moved it and she somehow knocked it onto herself. So sad!

if you want just one chick you could contact a local breeder, or look in the feeds stores, they might have a chick for you .

Observations so far on Easter eggers is that they are calm, a lot calmer than orpington chicks

Boy are these babies chatty! Having lots of fun llistening to them they are near two weeks old already and jumping on top of the feeders, we are building a bigger brooder for the 19 of them since they are outgrowing the current one soon.
