Arizona Chickens

@BlueBaby - hopefully the last one hatched?
In the many, many years we've had chickens I have never had such a hard time with a broody. Put the 4 chicks under her last night and went out this am and they were out of the nest! Mommy didn't like them apparently and was pecking at them like crazy - I grabbed them up and found only 3 - dang! I found the other one laying in the dirt, cold, cold, cold, but a wiggle of her little down covered wing. Scoped her up and rushed into the house, whipped out the heating pad and put her in it. Soon she was feeling the warmth and I saw open beak breathing, then a little chirp. What a crazy morning I've had with this crazy broody. AND I'd bet dollars to donuts she is in the nest even as I type! The littles are now in the play pen with a warm light on them. Guess I'm raising 4 littles for a bit! They will be okay when I get my others in a couple weeks. Now to get ready for a medical test the am. Yep I'm doing all this while fasting for the test. Made the morning go faster though and I wasn't always thinking how thirsty I am. Stay happy everyone.

No, the last egg didn't hatch yet. I moved chick #8 down to the brooder after I woke up, so it's just still chick #9 thats still drying off in the brooder as it was the last to hatch and it was from one of the smaller eggs. But, I see even the 9 out of the 10 that made it to hatch after lock-down pretty good. Chick #1 was the only one that hatched from the wrong end of the egg.

Last night I had mixed up some of the chick feed with a bit of water and put it in the lid of a peanut butter jar. I dipped a few of their beaks into it, and once they got the taste, they all circled the lid to get some on their own.

Cheering for #10 over here! :fl

That's still a really good hatch rate for shipped eggs! You've got a good starter pack with 9 chicks! :D

Yes, it is good! Now I have to grow them out and see what one's I will keep for future breeding, as soon as I can figure out what sexes that they are.

Does anyone know we’re I can get f4, f5 or f5 mini Nubian goat with good milking line
