Arizona Chickens

Can you see me? I'm standing on top of the chicken's coop and shouting...
NO. TUMORS!! NO. UGLY. MEDICINE!!!
DH and I are so very excited - maybe I'll get back to some of "me" again - hope it is soon too!! Poor new doctor - he came in, introduced himself and I bark - what did the PET scan say? He didn't have the scan so left and went out to ask his MA about it. I apologized for being rude when he got back and told him it was the anxiety talking. No problem he said! He then sat on the little stool - close to me and we read the prognosis area together. We were both excited after that and made plans to stop the ugly medicine and follow-up appointment, what to look for just in case and how I might feel when I realize there is no safety net. Hadn't even thought of that! Thank you everyone for sending great thoughts my way. :woot:woot:woot

:weeThat's awesome news :wee

Melting :sick All 3 dogs inside. My outdoor thermometer only got up to 110 today though so it wasn't as bad as I expected. Two of my three ice jugs exploded through the plastic, so we are getting new water jugs to freeze tonight. I just cut the ice blocks out of the plastic so the chickens had icy cold water in their pool all day, which they seemed to enjoy. NOT looking forward to tomorrow's forecast at all.

@nicollee I know, and they aren't real young pups neither. I at least make sure that they eat and have lot's of water for drinking. I also filled up both of the goats water tubs, and gave them each a carrot after I filled the feed barrel thing with their hay.

I don't know if your broody would be ok with those chicks or not. I suppose that you could take one out with her and supervise it closely. I'd use the one that you think is a boy if you do. :gig

Why do they always go broody during the very hottest days?! She does look pretty happy in there with the babies though.

My dog Buster is inside too. He was out after I first got up for 10 to 15 minutes, then he came back in to hug the aircondition vent after drinking his water. I won't put him back out until the sun goes down, unless he ask's me. It's hot for us out there, and dogs are wearing fur coats!
