Doing the best with the heat as I can. I'm doing my regular routine of checking on the flock every couple of hours, plus I'm watching my next-door neighbors 2 dogs and 2 goats this week again, too! Those dogs stay outside 24/7.

Can you see me? I'm standing on top of the chicken's coop and shouting...
NO. TUMORS!! NO. UGLY. MEDICINE!!!
DH and I are so very excited - maybe I'll get back to some of "me" again - hope it is soon too!! Poor new doctor - he came in, introduced himself and I bark - what did the PET scan say? He didn't have the scan so left and went out to ask his MA about it. I apologized for being rude when he got back and told him it was the anxiety talking. No problem he said! He then sat on the little stool - close to me and we read the prognosis area together. We were both excited after that and made plans to stop the ugly medicine and follow-up appointment, what to look for just in case and how I might feel when I realize there is no safety net. Hadn't even thought of that! Thank you everyone for sending great thoughts my way.![]()

SOOOO hottest day, and my BO decides she wants to go broody for the first time.
after kicking her out of the nesting box several times this am, I picked her up and put her on top of the brooder... she is watching the chicks, but I don't know if I can put her in with them ?????![]()

MeltingAll 3 dogs inside. My outdoor thermometer only got up to 110 today though so it wasn't as bad as I expected. Two of my three ice jugs exploded through the plastic, so we are getting new water jugs to freeze tonight. I just cut the ice blocks out of the plastic so the chickens had icy cold water in their pool all day, which they seemed to enjoy. NOT looking forward to tomorrow's forecast at all.
