Arizona Chickens

@SonoranChick this is your first so you haven't experienced this yet so don't worry about any side effects like losing hair, all depends on your genes, etc.

But when you first hold (this may sound cheesy and repetitive but it's true) your baby the love for them is like no other love it's intense and unwavering and nothing else matters
Look forward to that, like I'm sure you will ;)
Thank you :love It's crazy how much I already love her, and we haven't even met her yet! I talk to her all the time and she kicks in response, it's so amazing.

Momo was in the nest box this morning...looking and sounding like she was maybe interested in laying an egg! But no egg from her yet. Her crop is finally back to normal :ya and she's having normal number twos. She eats layer crumble all day and has made quite the recovery from a few weeks ago. I could not be happier!
Edit to add, I did find some palo verde bean shells/pods (the tough bark-like exterior that holds the little beans) in her poop a few days ago, and some feathers that were not fully digested. I'm thinking that may have been what had her all backed up. Maybe it got caught up in her crop or lower digestive area and took a while to pass?

Keep talking.... they really do hear in-utero. You are embarking on the greatest adventure of all time... "parenthood"
Hummmmm , maybe that's why my new chickie babies respond to my husband,:love he was always talking to them in the incubator:lau Telling them they had to be hens or his heart would be broken....

:lau they do get that look!

Ruby didn't have eggs either, I kept taking them, kicked her out of the nest box, tried ice packs and put her in a cage. She went back to any nest with eggs in it for a month so I broke down and got eggs from @BlueBaby
WHY during the hotest part of the summer??? Wish last year I had been smart enough to take the eggs away from Lumpy when the temp spiked.... only one "healthy" hatch out of a dozen fertile eggs last year:hit.... that's why I don't want FiveAlive to sit on eggs this year...

I know! It's so frustrating.

I'm sorry to hear your eggs didn't hatch :hugs makes me feel better that I took the eggs from Ruby since I worry.

You got lucky over here too, because I had to wait until my girls eggs got big enough to try a hatch with them.

I got a bunch of chicken vitamins,( I like Cal Ranch), turns out they make a natural booster for you with a measured scoop, etc. It's a mix of vitamins oregano, cinnamon things to help the sick or to boost, reg vitamins like b12 a and k electrolytes, etc all water given and takes the guess work out

I used to make my own electrolytes they liked it better than store bought but so did the ants
