Arizona Chickens

Well it looks like we will be rehoming our roosters. The neighbors complained kinda sorta kindly. It would have happened probably anyways as I'm not a fan of having roosters in a flock. They are beautiful. The blonde one is about 19 weeks and the darker guy is 17 weeks. Blonde guy is busy courting his young girls who are not laying yet and the darker guy is breeding the older hens. Both are laid back.

Here's there pics. I'm thinking I should sell them but I'm easily swayed. Anyone interested?

Yes I can have roosters. We have an acre and a third. The neighbors are close on one side not on the other. The other thing is that I'm not a fan of roosters in a flock. That being said I would probably get rid of them in the long run.

I’m sorry but people need to get a life. I know you said you are not a fan of roosters but if you were they are needed and to me less annoying than someone who lets their dog bark all day while they are at work. There are more things in this life to worry about than a rooster crow. Ok I feel better and hope you find them good homes.

No damage here from the rain or really strong wind but some pieces of palm tree laying around. Glad everyone is safe.

@FeatherPugs good luck rehoming your guys, they are really pretty. Nice feather patterns.
@meetthebubus hail is nothing to mess with, we had a crazy storm years ago and the saguaros are still scarred from the hail pelting into them. It dented the metal roof and put holes straight through the blue agave and aloe plants. I can only imagine what it could have done to your EEs had you not been there! Could have been horrible. You are a chicken warrior! :woot That's a huge bummer about your tree, Chilean mesquites are one of our favorites.

Well I lost half of the shades for the chickens a new Chilean mesquite, my tire went flying to who knows where but every one is ok and I'm without power fir 12 hours and may be 12 more till its back I have a migraine and i am using phone data

The storm was super intense hail pelted down at 50 miles on a slant got bruised but saved those 6 ee's

You're a good mom :hugs:)

Florence got hit so hard, metal shades ripped from the concrete foundations, 1 trailer house flew across a street and landed on a Jeep, and the one that got me was a stack of 100 lb bales blown over. The bales were blown into and under a chain link fence, mind you the fence was more than 35 yards from the stack... some are upright on the fence with 4 inches of hay sticking out of the other side of the chain.

Was that a microburst or did you guys get a tornado?

Good thing that it wasn't one of your animals instead of those 100 lb. bales of hay!
