Arizona Chickens

No babies yet. Tomorrow is day 21. I’m usually off but have to work so I’m hoping tomorrow late afternoon. I’ll check on them before I go to sleep. I think I’m going to invest in a different incubator. Brinsea is supposed to be the top of the line but I have a very poor hatch rate. The last two batches I did an Eggtopsy on the ones that didn’t hatch all were fully developed.

I clean my waterers daily usually with dish soap. Mine are inside so th mess I get is pine chips. I’m going to look into pine pellets for their bedding to see if they are less mess.

Now my issue is watery poop with the boys. I’m not sure if I’m giving to many treats or it’s the heat. I put some acv in their water tonight to see if that helps and going to cut out treats for a week. Any sugggestions on what else to do?

So glad to hear you baby girl is doing so good. My 28th anniversary is November 2 so that would be an awesome birthday.

I would love to send you a baby gift also.
Well that is the sweetest thought! :hugs Makes me so grateful just to know people are already thinking of her, and she's not even here yet. Maybe she will come on Nov. 2! November is a great time for a wedding/anniversary. Ours is mid October, sometimes it's still a bit warm but I'm so glad the baby is due during a cooler time of year. Should make for some nice outdoor birthday parties in the future.
Total subject change here, but onto the poops...could definitely be the heat, since they are likely drinking more water when it's hot. Mine are noticeably more runny when they get too much fruit, especially fruit with higher water content, like melons or cucumbers. May also have to do with the sugar content in the fruit. I think it's a good idea to take a break from treats and see if that helps.

Sorry that your hen is missing. anyplace in your yard where she could be hiding eggs in a nest?
I have had an experience with missing hens years ago, but we found them in a hiding place on a stack of eggs , but sadly we had no roo so no egg was going to hatch, but this might be whats has happened to your missing hen..? fingers crossed , she is alive and well...!!!!

Diana, it's @FeatherPugs that has the missing hen, not me. My hens are under lock and key because I don't free-range them.
