My chickens would freak out scared of a pool lol they seem so set in their ways. I have a blue treat bucket, the other day I brought in a slightly bigger black one and they jumped a mile lol

Speaking of which off to see my bubus now....

Mine are horrified by pools haha...they love their little water dish (it's the bottom of a planter, the thing that catches excess water) It holds one gallon so it gets the job done. The nice big kiddie pool we got for them did NOT go over well, so it went to the dogs. They have been getting lots of use out of it this summer!
Biddy is what I would describe as "semi-broody"...still clucking around but she's in the run frequently and gets kicked out of the nest box when someone needs to lay. The whole flock is trying to break her broody fever I guess lol.
We have some nice grey clouds coming up over the mountain today. I'm not sure if they will do much of anything but at least we have some shade.

It's hot over here, but at least there's a breeze and the sky is pretty overcast.

You should see them go crazy over leftover spaghetti and bread. I break up the bread crust into chunks and just toss it. Yes, with the leftover spaghetti, sometimes there is sometimes a bit of the meat sauce left that I mix in there too, and they get it.

I’ve fed that to my girls before. They weren’t too interested in it lol

Emma is broody on 6 eggs the other 3 girls have been outside all day while I clean their pens. Had to hose them d/t the lice. I’m going to sprinkle de on the bottom before I add the pine chips. I put Emma in a rabbit cage in my bedroom. Cool and quiet for her.

Did some updating to the house that we can do. We have to put our one cat down. She is 16 and skinny. She has a bad smell to her too. She is still eating very little and drinking. She is our last pet we brought from Pennsylvania. Sweet Scarlett.

Good thoughts to my home town. They are flooded. Roads turned into rivers. All my family is safe.
