So this is a little off topic, but I figured you guys wouldn't mind too much.
I have a friend here in Fort Thomas that has some pups that need homes. About four Pyradoodles (3/4 standard Poodle and 1/4 Great Pyranese), and I wanna say seven or eight purebred standard Poodles. She was in the middle of moving this last summer and a family member accidentally allowed dogs together that were in heat on two separate occasions. These are dogs she normally breeds when she's set up and ready for breeding, but wasn't ready this time due to being in the middle of moving.
Previous pups from these breedings have sold as service dogs, they are very intelligent trainable dogs. The Pyradoodle father (50/50 pyradoodle) is a very calm and sweet dog that is being positioned out of breeding and into the LGD role exclusively. He's the one with the "cone of shame" as he just got neutered, so this will be his last litter ever. I believe she's letting those go for $500. I believe they were born somewhere around Thanksgiving and have had at least their second set of shots.
The purebred Poodles can't come with papers because she lost the paperwork for the mom, but assures they are purebred. The pups are only about 5 weeks old right now so not quite ready to go. The mom is gamey, but obedient, so if someone ever wanted to try a standard Poodle for the original purpose of hunting some of her pups might be worth trying. i know of some falconers that use standard Poodles for coursing rabbits and flushing game for their hawks/falcons, and really love them. If not, then well raised from a puppy they should be very well behaved dogs. And very snuggly.
There's three rare brindles that she's asking $850 for and the rest are, I'm told, blue. I guess they start out looking black as pups but turn blue over the next year or two as they mature... She's asking $650 or $750 for those, I can't remember. Seems steep, but they are taking up her whole kitchen so I'm sure she's open to discussion..
