Arizona Chickens

If the shell is soft, then they need more calcium.
Yes, told Hubby we need to get their oyster shell tube moved to the inside of the new run.. I had the other eggs in the inside pocket on my jacket, as I went to get in the car, I felt one of the eggs crack.. Thankfully not that hard, but every egg counts. lol. The girls are picking up steam but not there yet.

This is where we currently are on the new coop build and our reasons why :)

I like the bigger dog's, but I still have my crippled old dog Buster here, and I don't think it would be wise for me to bring in a younger super active pup. I also like the straight shorter fur, because I don't want to take dog's to the beauty parlor every couple of month's like I had to do with a mini schnauzer before.
The grooming is the ONLY reason I haven't taken one of these pups. I love the parents temperments and would be ecstatic to have a male like the father. I can groom at home, but just don't want a dog that requires that extra maintenance. Also, I'm pretty sure Lance wouldn't let me take on another dog right now. But for someone willing to deal with the grooming these would be awesome dogs...

It didn't show as well as I'd hoped, it's one of those eggs that are missing the hard shell, felt like a very soft rubber ball, I took a flash light like you'd do for candling a egg and it doesn't appear to have a yolk.. just all white. This is the second and it's the largest one that I've gotten out of the girls.
One of my hens laid a soft shell while sleeping on the roost last night, but it had a yoke. It happens sometimes. I tossed it out hard enough to break and they sucked up the yoke like candy.

I guess our opinions differ. I would not get a dog any different . With hair rather than fur. This is my Shepoo. I groom her every now and then. Her hair does not shed:thumbsup as well as my Maltese.

Dogs don't come inside here so shedding isn't an issue. We have a GSD and have had other GSD's and huskies so we're used to that. We do have tons of the kinds of weeds that like to get into "hair" dogs coats, too.
