At least those 2 are starting to be laying eggs now, instead of just getting around to starting when we get our high summer temp's, huh?

Yea, I think it's better to work the kinks out now while it's still cool. Once it gets hot my girls tend to get in and get out.
Yes, and my little pullet egg's will be bigger by then. None of them liked that wind that we had here today though.
How exciting. Just got on this thread tonight and already found a neighbor. I also am from Kingman. We are building our first coupe now. They are coming in from Kingman, I'm in Golden Valley, so we're basically neighbors, from what I understand they are full grown and about the size of a bantam.. I've been taking it slow on my new coop build, but now have to put a fire under it..lol, I've found some folks that I've been hatching for that would like some of the girls, 4 to one friend and 3 to another, so that will leave me with 14 girls and a roo to add to my flock, lol.. if the 4 of the first hatch are actually hens, then I will end up with 30 hens and 3 roo's. One of the roo's might have to go. Got 6 currently in the incubator. I figure I'll add whatever I get from that batch to what I have already.
Thanks. Me too. It is amazing how different climates effect the birds. Does this high wind terrify the chickens?@Happychi2019 I'm glad that you took mine and @igorsMistress advice to come over here and chat with the rest of us from AZ.![]()
