Arizona Chickens

The deed is done, Sir Poops a lot is in with the big kids now. I'll have to set my alarm for 4AM, that way I'll have had enough coffee for the brain to start working, first light is 530ish.

Good luck to you both starri. Update us on how it goes. I did the deed the same way when I moved some chicks in with the bigs.

Thanks, I sure hope this works, getting up at 4AM is a pain..lol.. but at least I had time for coffee, how did your move work out? I'll let you know about mine.

starri I'm sorry your integration isn't going smoothly. How frustrating!

Mine had a lot of get to know you time between a fence, 6 or 8 weeks and I let the littles out first, then the bigs, for a week or so and let everyone mingle while I was there before I moved them to the big house. Also, I was integrating 4 birds instead of 1. I've never tried adding a single bird before.

Thank you, I'm not giving up yet, just debating on whether or not to put him back in the hospital crate and stick that into the big coop for a few weeks, I've got the new girls in the large crate inside the coop, I used it for the first hatch, beyond the normal chase each other while they were sorting things out, there wasn't any attacking. Thankfully this new coop is big enough I can fit both crates and the big ones still have room.

Sounds like a good idea. I hope that works.
