Arizona Chickens

I live in Queen Creek but drive to Tempe/Phoenix all the time so am more than willing to meet around there. I currently have two stewing chickens

They are only 5 weeks though

. I might just go drop them off at the feed store..I'm running out of options.

Oh yes, 5 weeks is too soon for, 'er, um, you know. And I'm not getting my silver laced wyandottes and americaunas for a couple weeks.

Sorry I couldn't help.

Hey, a house across the street is renovating and left out a bunch of interior doors. DH and I are going to go scarf 'em and start building my coop! Yea! They're hollow so they will insulate, thet're painted so they'll be easy to clean, their free so I can get started sooner!

Yes! And Yes!!! Lucky me I only work 4 days. But that definitely means I am gone dark to dark. Leave at 4:30 am. Come home at 6:30 pm.

That is soooo not a chicken term, sorry! It means close of business. Basically it's when I throw my computer out the window and head for the weekend sunset

After all I have a bunch of cute chicks at home that are waiting for me

LOL, I see. I just started a part time job and they upped my hours to max and now I wonder how I'll ever get to enjoy my (almost time to get them) chickens?

Need to get building that coop! And build a trellis for the peas that just sprouted, do the dishes, repot 3 plants, meeting from 7 to 8 pm tonight:eek:...make dinner early. Oh, guess I'd better get going, huh?

I have SOOO many freeloaders. Got 5 eggs from 24 who should be laying and soon, 34 that should be laying by mid December.

I suppose it's time to mark the vents of my older girls and those that don't lay should be soup or stew.

My leghorn has an excuse, she's just getting over molt, but how do I jump start hens out of a molt???
