Arizona Chickens

Been a hot few days here, I'm now the foster parent to a senior cat with health issues, they are not giving her long to live, but I have to wonder just how much and what is wrong with her, she seems to be blind, but I don't think it's totally, had been told she was deaf as well, she's not, she can hear you walking and lift her head to watch you.. she heard me scratching on the side of the couch last night and followed that to where I was sitting. Been out and checked on all the chicks and chickens, they are all doing good. :) how's everyone else fairing?
Awe, she sounds like a sweet cat. We have a 18 year old girl that we baby. Everyone in the flock is getting along, getting treats & wetting the ground for them daily. They have plenty of shade, but they love to dig holes where it’s wet to stay cooler.

This is my hospice foster kitty, her name is Butter-Bean.. someone at the Animal Shelter has a thing about legume's (beans) I've seen a few cats on their site named after a bean, last one before her was "Pinto Bean" lol.. Here she is doing the cat butt in the face with hubby. I've not got much on her back history, beyond she was abandoned at a vets, so matted that they had to shave her down to her skin. She's still got a couple of knot's, but they are far out enough from her skin that I can cut them out with scissors. So far I've found that she really doesn't want to or can't eat solid food's, even the cat's version of pate.. or the pouch stuff. She's eating the lil'soups by Friskies, except for the small chunks in it. Her paws seem to be crooked and she has a problem with her left shoulder but she gets around. She just came looking for me, I was in our den/computer room.. Their not giving her much more than days, I'm aiming for weeks to months, waiting for them to get back to me with why they are thinking days. This way I will know what to look for if it's getting worse. View attachment 2203366
Awe, precious photo. Getting her love & sounds spoiled at the end of her time.

I've got to get ahold of a couple of my egg customers, I've got 6 dozen sitting there and the girls are still giving 1 dozen or better a day.. I'm surprised with as hot as it's been.
I have to add that our flock is still laying as well, which surprises me in this heat. Our Golden laced Wyandotte’s are still young & laying tiny tan eggs.
they seems to be kinda small but I have never had them before. Anyone else with GLW? The eggs are the size of banty eggs.

my first pullet to start laying and I got 3 eggs so far. A pretty blue blue very small.

I also put another dozen of my eggs in the incubator. Hoping for some nice white ones.

@City farm How are those one's that you got from me doing now? Is Fawn laying that pretty colored egg?
Yes, she started laying a few weeks ago, still shy, but the smaller ones come right up to me, run through my legs, love that so much. Are the white ones mixed with leghorn? Also It looks like 3 hens & 1 cockerel.
