Yes, but this last hatch, her other chicks came out with only 4 toes on each foot.

I know, you could get a nice Red Dorking from Sandhill this winter! By way of the Smart Car Chicken Express
Of course I will have to grow the new chicks up for a while to see what I get in the way of males & females. I am sure they will all have 5 toes.
What else you gonna do with all the room in your yard? By fall you will know what sex that chick is. Then, put it with a Sandhill Dorking. I asked for Red Dorkings, but told him to substitute any Dorking if the Reds were not available. After you get your 5 toed chicks, breed them back to Your big NN, their grandfather.Maybe I could start up another pen going of the 5 toed Dorking/NN's? This chick here has the bib, but it could be worked on down the lineage.
Yes, white which is difficult to overcome when breeding. I have Angus though, pretty much Rodgers twin and his son. Got him from @BlueBaby earlier this year. Were they the naked necks?
Angus is a good boy for the most part. Not human aggressive and has learned I'll toss treats at his feet so he can call the girls.Yes, and that is one of the reason's why I picked Roger to remain in the flock, along with his coloring and that he is so nice.

The Sandhill catalog said his reds are very good. But for this, any color would probably work. I like Reds, and would like to see if a sex-link cross with the Rocks would be good. These Rocks are growing fast, too. The nice thing about sex-linked is that I could sell the girl chicks easy when cute babies, & raise boys until they crow and make chicken dinner. For you , sex-linked would help you not waste feed on too many boys, just like the hatcheries do. It is sad, but male chicks sometimes are culls. But, that means I have to get a new rooster each year, because of the no rooster rule here. It would be better to sell the Rooster after he does his job making a couple of hatches of chicks a year for me.
Red Dorkings should be making Dorkings, (or AZ Rangers) for someone, instead of being eaten. (Well, I might eat 1, just for a taste)! I wanted the hens for good broodies. There are always too many roosters, I ordered 5 and I could get 5 roosters with my luck! A guy in Northern Cal said he would take a road trip to Prescott to get one! I would like to see that, when he could order one from Sandhill in Jan.
Since you keep indoor pets, consider SeramasId like to have a couple of pairs of several bantam breeds..
