Im so ready for this to be over!!! My trees that have been planted for years are on their way out.. pretty sure one is dead, not sure on a second.

I had to take care of some more ant's out by my run this morning. I refuse to let them build up out there, and try to walk around the coop and run on the outside of them every day looking. It's already hot out there.

Hi everyone it’s been a while since I last logged in and I hate that I came with bad news, just a few moments ago I went to change the chickens water and found two of them dead huddled up to eachother in the corner of the coop, I’m not sure if it was the heat as it’s been 100+ for the past few weeks but I do remember one of them coughing up a clear liquid, anyone have suggestions?

I have no idea. I just did a google search for what you said that the symptom was: Chicken coughing up a clear liquid.

We originally shrugged it off as them drinking too much water and just spitting out the excess but everything I’ve read so far and the article you sent make sense. We’re debating raising some more chicks right now or waiting to see what happen with the other two

@Chikibabymom so sorry you lost a couple of birds, I hope the rest of your flock is ok!

Good afternoon AZ. It’s crazy windy but at least it’s not broiling hot outside. I’m actually going to use the oven this afternoon to make dinner, although low temp so it won’t heat up the kitchen much. I still have 9 Turken eggs in the incubator and the chicks are beginning to spend more time out of the coop learning to forage and such. I went out to check on everyone after work and the big girls aren’t even panting, and I’ve been getting eggs again the last few days. Anyway, headed to the kitchen to prep food, have a great night all.
