I took my dogs to get groomed... and they had these new chicks.. are these Marans? They were big and skittish!

Anddd my girls got to come out to play.. it was like the movie Birds w the D'uccles.. they wanted to get at my coffee cup! Too bad so sad. Elsa is so cute tho, she is my chicken little, squeeking and running to follow me. She is still afraid of the big girls.

They do look like marans, by their leg color.

No...!! but i told myself before i went, don't dare look at the chicks... but i couldn't see them too well when i took the pic.. so it doesn't really count.

Those new chicks might be some of those Coocoo Maran's, but most of what I seen in your picture look to have those bigger male comb's.

Your bird's might not have wanted your coffee and only wanted to make sure that you didn't have any mealworm's in the cup.

Those new chicks might be some of those Coocoo Maran's, but most of what I seen in your picture look to have those bigger male comb's.

Your bird's might not have wanted your coffee and only wanted to make sure that you didn't have any mealworm's in the cup.

Youre probably right!! Although they know what dishes are and that they hold food.. that ive already taught them they get scraps from on occasion oops.

Happy New Year to the rest of you also! Stay safe! I'm staying in and not going anywhere, because it doesn't seem like much of anything will be going on out there anyway. My dog will bark at the noise that the firework's make, but if you turn on the vacuum cleaner he will run to hide from the noise.

Happy New Year to everybody! I just got back from church and plan to spend the rest of the night at home, away from intoxicated drivers. Chickens figure out which bowl hold meal worms pretty fast. Corn, too.

Only 5 hours left of 2020--whew!
