I have larger sized nesting boxes also. Today it was me that had a white Naked Neck hen in one of the nesting boxes with the box next to that one that was empty. The red Naked Neck pullet that started laying egg's recently decided that she wanted to lay her egg there and like right now! She dived under the white hen's rear end and proceeded to lay the egg. I don't think that the white hen knew what to think about that.

The big RedRanger cross silver Naked Neck was laying in a dog kennel that I left in the large run they are in, until I moved it. Now she is going in the nest box, and she is so big that I think I wish I left her dog kennel there for her! Big clumsy bird feet = cracked eggs.

Be careful what you wish for, I wanted the Big NN girl to lay in the box. Now she is and she does not understand that I want her to go back to the dog cage!
