I can say the Wyandotte's eggs are fertilzed. Roger is doing a good job. I'll see if they hatch when I get a batch ready from the Hollands.

That will be interesting to see. I'll be waiting.

I found out this morning that I was gifted a 30 day Premium Feather Membership from another member here. I was shocked when I first signed in and didn't see any ad's.

Glad your flocks seem to be doing well.

This morning I talked to a neighbor. A coyote took his bantam around the same time my birds decided to stay quiet and indoors, so a predator was a likely guess. He got the incident on his night vision camera, but was not able to get outside fast enough to save the bantam.

So, the coyote will return. I think they will start having the pup's soon, too.

OK, just checked. One smashed egg at the bottom of the cage, which they ate. There's another one in the nest box with Whisper sitting next to it. It seems the eggs are coming again.

Question: So far, I haven't seen the famous bullseye, and I have been looking closely. Do the eggs need to sit or be at a certain temperature for one to show up?

yes in my area someone says they mate in January and have pups in March.

If its fertlized, it will have the outside ring.. they merge the dna after they are warmed. Can you take a pic?

Here is mine (in the pan) and a bullseye from the internet... mine has the bright white dot and nothing else.. only girls here.

Tomorrow when it's breakfast time, I'll take a picture of the eggs and see if you can see something I don't. So far, I haven't seen a ring. Like Foghorn the Leghorn would say on cartoons, "I'll have to have a talk with that boy."
