Arizona Chickens

Any recommendations for getting chicks used to you? Every time I so much as glance in their direction they’re trying to run into the farthest corner! A few will give me a curious glance but they all seem pretty unsure of me. I don’t want them to grow up being aggressive or afraid of humans since I babysit and I like to have the kids help me around the coop.

What i did was grab one at a time, then cup it in my hands and blow warm breath on them.. then i think they then thought i was just the warmest most cuddly chicken mama ever. They would come up to me after that... and chased me after that..and flew onto my head after that 😂

Now, I think a NN with barred feathering would be one nice looking bird. A fine sight too see. :celebrateI may have some cockerels this summer. Leghorns are a great breed for egg production, and the daddy is a good boy. :yesss: Just sayin'. (whistling and gazing at the sky, trying to look innocent.)

I picked up the chick warmer today. They did send it to my physical address, and the delivery guy got confused. LOL!
