I usually plant my seeds in October.. so i get lots of pretty wildflowers and livingstone daisies but they go back to seed in the summer. The surefire ones are yellow and purple ice plants.. they can handle the heat, but they would still take some time to get established. Once they do, they will form nice mounds of color, so you can strategically place them. I also have magic carpet thyme that is taking off and spreading very well. It will have a purple mini flower, it is very low to the ground. My hope is that the clover will fill in the bare spots. White clover is suited best for our super hot climate. So itll be a nice green lawn with white flowers for several weeks. I have some zinnia growing, i am hoping that will be a keeper, but not sure just yet.
