Arizona Chickens

They do not have to see the enemy roo to crow back at it! We have quite a round robin here some days. For in the city limits, I know of 4 nearby roosters who crow each other. (Only one is mine) None are allowed here.
Gotta be careful there.

Right now he's at the fence, between his girls and the fence, all puffed up and probably watching for the enemy.

I know, I am keeping him to get more Barred Hollands. My neighbor has his hatch mate as a back up! The other 2 were here before I got my chickens, one reason I wanted to move here was the crowing I could hear when we were checking this place out! All of our neighbors are cool with the chickens and him, too. But, since we are having trouble with the guy across the street, I am ready to put Randy Roo in the cooker if I have to. @CaroleW has more of his brothers and sisters and will give me eggs to hatch. Making a plan for a Barred Holland hatch pretty soon with some of her eggs! :jumpy I am all out of cockerels in my freezer, and there are at least 4-5 ducklings soon, but they will not last long after I give one each to my neighbors.

I'm sure that there would be plenty of boy's for you in this hatch that I am doing. ;)

Here he is. About 3 inches high. 20210504_104354.jpg

Well, my incubator is holding steady since I added all of those other egg's in there. There are still 3 of the 1 month old NN pullets that I would sell. All 3 of them have a variation of the feathering color so should be able to tell them apart. I'm going to keep the 4th pullet though, because she's the right coloring that I need.
