Arizona Chickens

NoSkiveez- Here are the latest pictures of the SLW chicks I hatched from the eggs you gave me. They are doing great. I am so surprised at how well they are doing at this stage compared to the ones I had mailed to me by MPC in Auguest. Any guesses of the gender mix?

Noskiveez... got my first polish egg from the group I got from you. It's about time!

And the roo is crowing and it's HILARIOUS!

... but I haven't seen him do the deed!

Yay! My blue polish stopped laying and haven't started back up, its been atleast a month!

I had seen him get frisky before, but only once or twice. I hope he is getting the job done. If not, maybe he needs a hair cut.

Eggxacly--Glad you are here!

Pati--I'm so sorry to hear that your illness is causing you to lose your chickens. I suppose it will show you how great the people on this site are. I wish I could help you out, but I suspect I am way too far south.

Nuclear--super cute chicks!

Laree--I am heartbroken for your neighbors. I prayed for them.

NoSkiveez--We did the kids eat free the other night at Denny's too! What a deal! My 12-year-old eats off the regular menu, but we still get 4 free dinners for the younger girls.

Laree, your story cracked me up. I love to laugh at other people's kid fiascos. My older 4 are pretty good. My almost 2 year old is a little destructive, but she is about to go to Mommy Boot Camp like the others. I have to be crazy strict since I homeschool them and never get a break from the little darlings. If I give them an inch, they will make me pay for it. I can't send them to freezer camp, either. That kind of thing is always funnier when it happens to someone else. I'm not that patient, but I adore the pictures my good friend sends me of her son covered in various household items.

I am trying to get caught up. We finished A Night in Bethlehem, and it was amazing as always. It just leaves me so wiped out! My chickens were a huge hit! I left my little mixed hen at home since she is molting and not looking so hot. She only has one tail feather. The others sat right up on the stage with the live interactive nativity. The kids loved them! The only thing was that my silkie rooster was way too quiet during the event. Last year I took my vicious rooster and he crowed obnoxiously, much to the joy of the children. Our little polish roo (about 12 weeks) drew lots of ooohs and ahhhs. Most people had never seen anything like that. We had miniature ponies, but the sheep was sick and the mule a no-show, so the chickens were under a lot of pressure. LOL!

Anyone know where I can get a blue laced red wyandotte? Or would I be better off to just get some SLW's?

WOOHOOO!!!! Really? That would be so exciting! We are talking about coming up that way to Show Low or something near there in January or February. My kids are very curious about what this snow stuff is that people keep talking about. It would be awesome to swing by Phoenix and get some super cute chicks on the way home!
