Arizona Chickens

I have heard of people using a large "Thermocare" wrap for their chicks. I might make hot water bottles if I had young chicks like yours that would get chilled in a long outage.
The power came back on at around 9 pm, so they were fine. The AC unit couldn't work so the room stayed warm.

Chick question--when can I switch the young Dorkings from the medicated chick feed to all flock? They're two months old now.

That is old enough for All Flock pellets. If you are still buying chick food for the babies, they can eat that still, too. Some pellets are smaller than others, but these new guys I have were eating All Flock @ that age.

I guess if you are willing to sleep with an 8 hour you tube of their commercial, you already want it!

That would be ok if they wanted to, but I don't think that it should be forced on the rest of us that don't want it.

Excellent, thank you. I just bought a 50 pound bag of medicated chick food, so there's plenty here.

They can be switched already.

I was buying All Flock pellets for the ducks, and wanted to not get any more chick food, so I switched these when the chick food ran out. Just add the pellets to the chick crumble 1/2 and 1/2 for a few days. Just 3 little chicks can never eat a 50 pound bag, they need the big chicks help for that!
