Arizona Chickens

Very sweet. I know you are into NN crosses. Do you also keep a flock of pure NNs.
I was playing around last year and the year before with breeding them for bigger size bird's, and egg size and color. I had the Naked Neck that had the darker colored leg's. Now I am working with the Naked Neck's that basically have the lighter colored leg's. I was able to get one little red NN pullet that now has been laying egg's. She had been purchase from Murry McMurry's. She's a bit smaller then the one's that I had been working with before, so I need to increase that size again through her offspring.

If you're handy with a computer, you can design and print your own, like these I made using Pages on a Mac: Then you have whatever wording you want. Just cut them out and stick glue them on.

Thanks for your reply! I'm not that handy, so I'm going to look for someone that can make them and purchase some.

Love our monsoons!

Well, out of 21 eggs that went into the incubator on 8/1, three survivors entered lockdown today. Like last time, there were some that started but didn't make it, and there were a lot of dud eggs. And like last time, all the good eggs were laid on different dates, so they may possibly be all from the same hen. When I make breakfast, all the Leghorn eggs have bullseyes, so it looks like Big Ben is on the job. What do you make of this?

I would like to keep my cute little Welbar cockerel, since we will be moving pretty soon. The music across the street is driving my guy off the deep end. I am at my wits end.:(
sorry to hear about the music, let me know if you need any extra pairs of hands setting up the coop/pen at the new place!

Have any of the adults been molting? Molting and being broody can slow down egg laying or even fertility.

:old 👆 Did not realize that canning stuff was that pricey:idunno
Prices aren't really going up. The value of your dollar is going down because of those money presses continually going on and the Government spending all of that money.
