It'll probably be 1.5 to 2 hours. The larger one should be ok as long as you don't have far to travel with them. I wouldn't try to put more then 3 in it though.

Ok, and since they are not smaller chick's, you will have to make sure that they don't get too hot on the ride back to your place. It can get hot in a car if they are in an area that doesn't get benefit from the air conditioner, or if you get stuck in a traffic jam. It'll probably be 1.5 to 2 hours.
Good point. My car has good A/C but I will drop the back seats so they don't block the airflow to the rear of the car. I'll have to keep the car running too at pick up. Good thing gas is so cheapOk, and since they are not smaller chick's, you will have to make sure that they don't get too hot on the ride back to your place. Good luck, and take some picture's to show us what you get after you get them settled in at home.Good point. My car has good A/C but I will drop the back seats so they don't block the airflow to the rear of the car. I'll have to keep the car running too at pick up. Good thing gas is so cheap(ha!)
The pink one will work, put an old towel in the bottom so they don’t slide around on the plastic.Thank you! It looks like I'll be picking up some 4-5 month old pullets on Saturday. I pulled down my carriers today. I believe the white one is going to be too small to use period. The larger one, would it hold 3 pullets of that size? (standard gallon paint can for size perspective)
I use cider vinegar and cinnamon when I feel as if I'm getting diabetic symptoms.I can sort of understand his point though, as he would have to help to build them. He has that thin skin now that old people get, and he can bleed easily. His being a diabetic on top of it doesn't help.
How do you manage too know the sex, that's incredibleI know what you mean about those unsexed chick's. That's why I'm going with this auto-sexing breed, because I am able to tell the boy's from the girl's as soon as the egg's hatch, instead of having to wait week's or month's to know what sex that they are.
The chicks of one sex hatch with a dot on their head or a certain color, etc that the opposite sex doesn’t have, so no guess work. You know what you have at hatch. Check out sex linked chickens, here’s an article https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...rs-what-they-are-and-how-to-breed-them.65934/How do you manage too know the sex, that's incredible![]()
He's a picky eater. He will do cinnamon as long as there is sugar to go with it, but with him no way any type of vinegar. Yes, he is on a lot of types of medication's that his doctor's have subscribed over the year's, and he has to sleep with one of those CPAP machine's for his sleep apnea.I use cider vinegar and cinnamon when I feel as if I'm getting diabetic symptoms.
I'm thinking he's on certain medications that causes the bleeding![]()
The females are a darker colored chipmunk coloring, while the males are light in color and have the dot on the head, and this is right after hatch while they are still in the incubator. It makes it so much easier to know that difference this early in their life, without having to be guessing until they get a bit older. How do you manage too know the sex, that's incredible![]()
