Arizona Chickens

This demanding little monster needs flock mates I swear but gosh do I love him!

Rugby is looking for some hot chicks that can handle his high demand for love and affection as well as his willingness to get wet then scream about it! :gig

This is my new one that I just finished setting up. I'll use my smaller 360 for egg's that need to be in lockdown for hatch. The 8 big eggs in the first row on your left are the duck egg's.

Nice amount of space. Would love to know how you think it compares to your 360 after the hatch ❤️

Hi all, new to this posting, thank you @cavemathrich

I'm in the Yuma area, still working on expanding my coop to make room for all my newbies & preparing for the heat. Last year, we did a chicken bath with ice bottles & bricks for them to stand on as well as ice bottles in all their waterers. Since there'll be so many more this year, we might have to do misters or something, not quite sure yet.

Anyways, love seeing all your stories & pictures!

Welcome to the party! I tried the shallow pools for my chickens and the girls were too prissy to touch them hahahah they got so upset about it, Hopefully if you do misters they enjoy them! Let me know if they do if you do end up setting them up! Maybe my prissy little girls will like them!

Hello, and welcome to our AZ. thread! What breed or breed's do you have?

I've got a mix, hopefully the breeds are right:
2 RIR, 2 Black Astralorp, 2 White Leghorn, 3 Americauna, 2 Wellsummer, 1 Golden Sexlink, 1 Sapphire Gem, 1 EE, & 1 Cuckoo Maran. 3 for sure roos, 6 for sure hens, 6 hopefully pellets :fl
Yes, you don't want an unbalanced flock with that many rooster's per hen ratio. Are you planning on eating your excess boy's?

No, it's a long story (read here) but my original group of 5 ended up with 2 roosters, so we got more and ended up with another rooster, so we got more and they are all, hopefully pullets, so far. I've called around and no one is taking roosters, and the ones that will take my latest cockerel will cull so I'm keeping them all. I'm too attached . Mind you, this all started by me trying to make one little rescue chick happy... now I'm knee deep in chickens!!
