Arizona Chickens

Hey! I am so sad but we have to get rid of our beautiful Buff Orpington Rooster. We live in an HOA and run the risk of losing our whole flock if someone complains once he starts to crow. He was born in March and has not crowed yet.
He is my favorite one! He is so friendly, curious, and doesn’t mind being handled. Really want him to go to a good home!

Good luck finding your boy a home! I know there's a thread somewhere on here for rehoming birds. If there's no takers here, perhaps someone who watches that thread will be interested.

You might also try posting him on Craigslist. I'm not working with that breed, and I already have 2 boy's.

Is there ever going to be an end to the craziness and disrespect of other people's property?
I think the society as a whole has moved beyond the foundational morals of the past. If you know your neighbors you might hold onto respect of other people and thier property. But we still have to be careful of who we trust and take precautions. Very sad.

I agree. How are you and all of the chicken's doing up there now?

All's well. I planted 60+ tomato, pepper and eggplants yesterday. DH is getting drip water to them today. So I'm almost ready to get the incubator started up again. I've got my system down of marking eggs, and tipping cartons while they wait. After eggs are a week old I save them for boiled eggs. Now I need to figure out how many of whose eggs I want to hatch.

How many egg's to hatch? All of them, as half of them will most likely be cockerels.

@NuggetMama Did any more of the egg's hatch yet?
We have three little ones! Two in brooder one in incubator and we have a fourth one pipping!

It’s so dang dry I had to fill my water dams. I had them filled prior to lock down, get two/three days into lock down, babies are hatching and all the dams are going dry!

Keep an eye on the water. This heat that we are having will dry anything up.
