I have lots of water and a misting system up for mine. I've been selling the last of my Bielefelder's though, as I plan to do some leghorns next.Oh yeah, I know my girls are loving it too. They really hate the heat!
Yeah we have 2 pools, a 5 gallon waterer in the shade and the misting system. It definitely helps but I can’t wait for it to be low 90s again. They seem to not mind that as much. It’s the high 90s+ that they seem to really stress about.I have lots of water and a misting system up for mine. No rain here unfortunately. Just sunny but thankfully it's cooler than it was.Anybody else getting rain today besides me?
I guess you will store the next batch inside? No rain here unfortunately. Just sunny but thankfully it's cooler than it was.
When we had those temps hovering at 110 or higher, it "killed" the barley seed that I store outside. Only the tiniest fraction will sprout now. I've got half of a 5 gallon bucket left. Lesson learned.
Somehow I'll have to find a way to store inside until the weather cools. I really don't have the space.I guess you will store the next batch inside?
I got a late start on hatching out egg's this year, but my husband has been doing better. So I figured I better get in gear. My friend that used to get my extra boy's to eat moved away, and I don't eat them neither. Anyways I decided to go with some leghorns instead.
Thank you! He still sleeps in an easy chair, and broke the old one, so he bought a new one. He said he can't get comfortable sleeping in the bed anymore and it causes him pain.Somehow I'll have to find a way to store inside until the weather cools. I really don't have the space.
Glad to hear your husband is doing better.
