Cool! I found out that the silver leghorn hatching egg's that I ordered will ship on Monday.

A nice overcast sky here today. They keep teasing me about expecting rain, but it has yet to be seen.

I'm still cutting back on all of those ants out there, and trying to get that done before I start moving chicks out there.

What's your method for getting rid of ants?

Permethrin10. I buy it concentrated by the gallon, and dilute it with water as needed. Follow the trail of ants to find out where they are going to the hole in the ground. Get the hole good, and then get the one's that are still on the trail. I've done it this way for years when I spot them.

I just finished moving the Bielefelder chick's out to the growout pen. Now I have some time to get the brooder ready for the next hatch that will be the Naked Necks. Later on this week my Leghorn hatching egg's will be here, so they can go in one of the other incubators.

Yes, I like the coolness now. The flock seems to be enjoying it too, including the 2 little 4 week old chicks.in their grow out pen.
