I have said this...also I have eggs that I ordered under my desk right now that my husband doesn't know about..I unboxed them this morning and I will put them in tomorrow morning

I know a couple of people that live by me that hatch emus...THEY get HUGE!!!!

They are taller than me..I am 5'7". Also during matting season they thump the ground really loud to impress the girls. I really love the color of the eggs and would love to have some eggs but I am not ready to have the birds.
 
My uncle kept emus. They're not nice. Unless you're in it for the oil, I don't see making a profit from them and the males were super nasty. Deformities too - could have been something wrong with his industrial freezer - sized incubator but about 30% of his had leg issues and were harvested early for meat.

Laree - I just told Steve of your "plan" and he said "that's a REALLY bad idea".

Hm, if it's misspelled and you don't know what it means googling could be tricky! A part from the fact that sometimes a word has different meanings

(I can think of a few). So I think turkeybreeder did alright asking his trusted fellow flock superintendents for clarification...
