Arizona Chickens

Quote: I see a fundamental flaw with this game. Shouldn't the person that ends up with all the chickens win?

I've tied flies using molted feathers from most of my chickens and fur from all of my cats and my dog. I caught fish with all of them too! Gallina del Cielo was not happy when she found that someone had been cutting snippets of hair from the cats. The only fly to ever be banned from the Jackson Hole One-Fly Contest is the Double Bunny. It is one of the most effective flies ever created for piscivorous fish.

Yes, most of my life has been around fishing. In 86-87 I worked on a boat. I do not date, why? First dat has to be fishing. You can tell a lot about a person fishing fast. Do not want to wast time on a dead end. At the very least you get friendships. Now, it is going to be even more difficult, add in chickens.

I must of not hit t
Well, Sunshine passed away some time today while were gone. I came home and she is stiff as a board. I have no idea what happened. Maybe it was a scorpion. There were never signs of discomfort though, so at least there was that.
Now to break it to my wife and then open her up to check her vent for being egg bound, although that doesn't sound right. It was too sudden for that to have killed, I think. I don't think there is much else I can check for.
Is it safe to save and eat the breast meat, or is that too risky without knowing the cause?
I must of not hit the right button... Redo--
So sorry for your loss... Do you think you will get another chick??
If so what kind do you want??

We had our first oweeee, Molly our blue Andalusian, lost one of her toe nails... Any thing I need to do for that????
I must of just missed the incident! I was home and did not hear anything out of the ordinary... I went out to say hi & make sure
they were good. I noticed blood on the ground... First I thought it was Kent pecking to hard to tap... One by one... Finally I saw
Molly with the blood dripping from her foot... Sure enough her toenail is completely gone...
I isolated her so she could stay calm, not make a mess & so her sisters wouldn't peek at her wound... It worked.. By the time,
bed time came around it had stop bleeding... She seems to be fine...

Do you think it will grow back???

We will be out front having afternoon tea.. With our flock.. So pop on over...
3PM...
Then we will have a blazing fire with alligator bark, juniper firewood... The best smelling
firewood.. PM us & I will send you our address... I will not check again till around 1:00..
I am going to be helping a neighbor till then..

My Cuckoo Marans, Phoebe, just went through the same thing a month ago. I came home from work and found blood all over her foot. I washed her toe and then cleaned it with betadine. I put neosporin on it and wrapped it in gauze and vet wrap. Every few days I would unwrap and clean it. Took about 2 weeks before she would put weight on her foot. I am sure the tip was very sensitive after losing the nail. I just have no idea how she did it. She is back good as new. The nail could grow back or her toe will be "stubby".
