Arizona Chickens

and it stinks really bad... I mean most Asian markets smell like fish, but Lee Lee's smells like something died compared to the other markets.

Durian!  It is an acquired taste.  The smell will gag a maggot, but once you get past that it is pretty tasty.

Oh no, I absolutely LOVE durian. And it doesn't stink in the store because they keep it frozen, but I don't think it smells anyways, last time I bought one in the summer and before I got it home my car smelled like durian, it took me a couple days to figure out what the 'weird sweet smell' was coming from my trunk, then I remembered, *facepalm*. It's actually illegal in most places to have it not frozen.
In Thailand they have stickers on the windows of the taxis saying things you're not allowed to do, its something like "no sex, no smoking, no durian" LOL!
But my friend from Cambodia was telling me about how they're really expensive there so only rich people can buy them, but when someone cracks one open the whole village can smell it and everybody wants some!

I had a dream the other day about growing them. The police kept confiscating them until they opened one up or found a broken one and there was no smell, it was some sort of hybrid.

Well we all know what this pregnant lady is craving LOL. But not for $2-4/lb for a 20lb frozen fruit lol, if you watch out you can find sales. Until then, popcicles, ice cream, and cookies!

In other news, I was wondering about the scrambled egg in some of those pictures a page or so back, won't it make them egg eaters or is it different since it's been cooked?

Lot's of glorious wonderful rain here... and you can see snow on the Superstitions.

I've got to see my accountant and take a trip to the Feed Barn and Pet Food Depot... I need more chick feed and Flockraiser.

Beehappy, I've got to get a pic of that barn yard mix I got from you. IT IS A GIANT and so weird looking... 2 to 3 times the size of the splash Ameraucanas that it came with. I'd love to know it's parentage.. almost looks like a weird dinosaur!

Glad I don't have to drive to Page. check it out.BROKEN ROAD!!!

No, it shouldn't make them egg eaters... Since it's been cooked, they don't know what their eating!

That's great! and you are in Gilbert!
Do you have irrigation?

My new fig is leafing out already. :)

Yes, I live in Gilbert. I bought my Jujube at Lowes on Gilbert and Warner. My apple trees have blooms on them already. They are the only ones. I hope they are fine after this cold spell! We do not have irrigation. I have my trees on timers and on a drip.

Sure hope we don't have a real cold frost after this storms clears off. That isn't good for the fruit trees that have already started to blossom.

It's unbelievable! I've never seen it snow this hard in Tucson.
It even snowed on my side of town. Went out to check on the chicks. It's their second full day in the coop, which is designed for hot weather not cold and snow. They didn't like the wind earlier and were huddled in the most protected corner for much of the morning. Once the wind let up they started running around all over the place. Snow and cold, no problem! Too bad the snow only lasted an hour or so. It's back to rain now and most of the white stuff is gone.
