You will, no doubt, have the nicest, minty-freshest house on the block! My garden in the front is part shade, so I'm not sure how it'll compare. But within a few weeks, probably 3-5, it was beyond control. Mint sends out the little traveling shooters that rer-root themselves. So you basically get mats of mint when it spreads. Sounds like it'll work great for your purposes though!I'm glad to hear about the mint taking over! That is actually what I want it to doAs far as gardening goes, my motto is "If I can't eat it, I don't want to water it!", so we planted mint in various locations hoping that it will eventually choke out the grass. Eventually the entire yard is going to be pretty well shaded, since it isn't that large and we have four fruit trees planted.
