You peeps are scaring me with all this heat stress stuff. My girls aren't showing any signs of stress other than walking around with their mouths open during the hottest points of the day.
They are always in the shade and have all the ventilation they need. Very little sun hits the run at all they way I have it set up. I only set up the brick cooler a few days ago, but the girls definitely like it.
This morning I soaked down the west end of the run. When we come home around 5-5:30 we put some ice in their water, but the water is still reasonably cool anyway. They do spend the hottest parts of the day laying in the sand under the coop.
Anyway, I'm all worried about my girls after all this talk.
