Are the eggs developing. All mine fried in this heat. What kind of chicks?
Partridge silkie rooster..
Buff silkie hen
Blue Andalusian hen
Black austrolorp hen
Du' ullce Millie Fluer bantam hen
Partridge Cochin hen
Lavender Americana bantam hen
The offspring of two that we have from her are all white with some dark grey feathers,
featherd feet, top head feathers and bearded. Really meet looking..
Also the speckled Sussex might have a few of her eggs under her?? She went broody quick
after just hatching our last eggs.. I have three of our friends that have 5-10 of our last hatch
from the same hens.. I have not seen any of them but most of them have extra toes..some
have the black skin.. We had 5-7 silkies and all of them have been mostly buff looking.. A
little bit darker in their tail feathers..
No I have not checked any of the eggs.. Karen our silkie pecks and gets real upset.. So I
don't really care either way how many hatch.. Last time we moved Lorraine during day 14-15
she left the eggs to long I think.. Out of 18 eggs I think there were 6 that did not hatch..
. So who knows how many are going to hatch.. None of the other chickens bothered the babies
when they were out and about after they were a week old..
At this point I think there are about 14-19 eggs.. I did try and count after Karen decided to join her..
She went in two days and layer after Loraine had been sitting on them... I was wondering how come
we ended up with so many silkies.. She is a stinker..
