Angle the Lemon Cuckoo Marans HAS A NICE LITTLE PIBK COMB

(Fussy picture) Now there is Basil, I think it is, well, He HAS A COMB TWICE THE SIZE And it is also seems longer.

As for feathers, Dakota and Angle has rather more feathers then Basil. Both can now fly up to the edge of their brooder, Basil has not made it yet.

My guess is at 2 weeks I have 2 pullets.... 1 roo..... In 2 weeks it may change.

I picked up a bunch of chicks from RedRocketRooster today, and I don't need all of them. If you were supposed to get chicks from her, I probably have them! I've also got 3 unclaimed silkies, so if anyone wants them let me know.

There are 2 that are kind of a buff/yellow color and one that is black. RRR took a picture of the box that had your chicks in it, hopefully you'll get it soon, unfortunately my camera isn't working. They seem to be healthy, happy little fuzzy butts, I think you'll really like them.

Happy "almost" Fall, y'all... A few photos to share....12 week old standard bred Buff Orp pullet and 11 week old standard bred Buff Rock...not often one gets to see these breeds next to each other...can't help but 'play' compare and contrast....enjoying BOTH. [COLOR=333333]On the way home from work, my wife found a HUGE prickly pear cactus that has some beautifully ripe fruit! It is at a dentists office near our house, so I stopped in to ask if I could harvest them all. They agreed without hesitation! Now, to decide how many buckets I need to take with me... Thank you, love! Oh, beautiful tuna, you have a date this weekend with jam, syrup and my wine fermentation buckets...[/COLOR]

Hey AZKat - do you know the sex of the silkies by any chance. I'm not allowed roos. Don't think I could bring myself to harvest a silkie. I did just fine with the cornish cross beasts I had. I will make some room for some eye candy though if they are still available and female.

i originally asked RedrocketRooster for 4 chicks: 2 bcms and 2 lavender Ameracaunas. Then I started thinking, what if I get Roos? Better make it 3 BCMs because I rrrrreally want the chocolate colored eggs. A few days later I thought, well, I rrrrreally want blue eggs so better get 3 of those, too.... Then yesterday I was reading this whole thread about silkies. Also, I was thinking that it would be nice to introduce more color in the chicks themselves, so I started looking for chicks I might pick up locally that would be the same age. And viola! I have TEN chicks, including white, buff, blue and black silkies... NOW WHAT DO I DO??? Lol
