Hay, piping in on H2o,
Does anyone have the water treatment that is piped into your main line from H2o???
We just got it installed yesterday.. I am so totally excited..no more smelling the chlorine or chemicals when we showere or
when we do dish's by hand.. We have a home that was built in the 5o's.. We are the dish washer..
The manufacture is called h2o concepts..
Is it a water softener or a whole house filter system? It's probably made by Canature out of Canada, most of the good ones are.

Red combs, they've been very vocal, they're nearly 28 weeks old. What's the hold up, ladies! Maybe I'll start an egg laying pool.

When are these chicks gonna lay!?

Love your photos. I have a girl that looks just like them. I know some people say that the EE's are very good layers. I don't have that kind

. Our girl lays one light green egg per MONTH. She's lucky that she has such a great personality. Hoping you have better luck than I.

Soooo close...

BSL ~19 weeks, today she started squatting when I bend down to pick her up. Of course when my bf got home and he tried she was done with that for the day and made me a liar lol. Go Onyxia Go! Time to pay the rent! I definitely think she'll be my first egg.

My EE looks so much like Mckenzy's muffed chicken but she's only 19 weeks and her little pea comb is not really red at all and I read a lot of times they don't start until 30 weeks so I'm not holding my breath for her.

My Production RIR is no where near ready. She's still a tiny runty thing with barely any comb.

I think my Welsummer will be not too long after Onyxia. Her combs about 1/2 as big and 1/2 as red. I thought she was going to be first because her comb started getting larger and more red first but then Ony flew past her.

Ony is on birdwatch. I am basically stalking her waiting for her first egg. I feel like a kid on X-mas Eve.

Not a softener. Piped into the whole house & garden hose's.. I am so happy.. They seem to be a good business plus huh, wait, now that
you mention it I will look up where they are manufactured.. We do not have to buy a filter or change anything.. It comes with a ten year
guarantee.. It does a back wash every 4 days. The water that is flushed out from the unit goes into our garden & tree's. It is not the same
as a O.R. System. There is a electric charge that breaks the calcium & what not up. There is a better way of explaining it, I am not the one.
That is why when the 30 gallons that gets back washed can go back into the yard, it is safe.. That makes me totally excited..
We do not It have irrigation, so this makes me feel like we are not wasting H2O.. :)

Great photo.. 30 weeks.. That sucks..

I finally am getting eggs. 3 yesterday. 1 blue from my Americana - Little Momma. 1 brown from my RIR - Little Red Hen, 1 brown from my New Hampshire Red. I'm not sure which one yet. I think it was Big Fat Momma but I don't really know. She just has the redder of the two comb and such. I have 2 more hens that haven't started laying yet.
I haven't heard my little Black Polish crow since that first day last week but my husband says he heard him crow 4 times this weekend while I was gone. That figures. I still need to get him a couple hens for him now since his mate became lunch for a coyote. Broke both our hearts. He seems lonely. I really don't want him breeding with my others. I don't want to separate him from the others until he has a couple of girls of his own. He will die of loneliness otherwise.
I worked on my garden a little today. Finally getting some Pablano peppers, Peas and pole green beans are coming up. Planted some broccoli to see if it will come up yet but I have some started in the trailer just in case. Planted some tomatoes and peppers too. Same thing. I have some started inside just in case. I also put down some new top soil with compost after a little weeding. I couldn't do much more than that today. I'll get some pictures when it is worth looking at.
