Dang with all the skills we have among us we'd make one heck of a community. My skills range from hunting and fishing to cleaning cooking smoking making sausage and canning to making clothing and bedding. I have some carpentry gardening and inventing skills too.
Holy poo! I came home today after making a run out of town to pick up a ton of meaty feed. I was greeted by a very dark town... absolutely everything was down. Unfortunately I have eggs in the bator. Here's hoping they get things straightened out before any damage is done.![]()
What caliber is this? Nice. I'm a shooter myself. No gun building though.
.308 Win. Rem. 700, short heavy barrel in Bell & Carlson fully adjustable stock with detachable magazines, Atlas bipod, Jewell trigger, and a Weaver 4 x 16 tactical scope. Made for dotting the i's.
My pet load is military LCLR sniper brass, WLR primer, Sierra 168 gr MatchKing hollow point, and an undisclosed amount of RL15 powder. Another of my more accurate rifles is a 6.5-06 built on a Mauser action.
Love the German built.. Accurate & dependable..
Hey! I'm part Scottish, too!
(I think that's where I get some of my loonier ideas! ;D
You probably like my .338WinMag. All custom built. Mauser action, jeweled bolt, Obermeier ss barrel, French Bastogne Walnut stock, Leupold VXIII scope. Stuff like that. Metal and woodwork done at Lawson Co.
My most accurate rifle is my off the shelf Ruger M77 mkII lightweight in .270win. I've got a pet load for that one that will tag a gnats *** at 400yds.
German Irish here.
I'm jealous. Holy cow. I used to have a good amount of guns but after some financial troubles I had to sell most of them. Luckily nothing too special. I wish I had my 28 gauge back. Now I'm down to one lonely .22 rifle. I'm good with it. Love squirrel hunting with a .22. Nothing more fun. Nice stiffUnfortunately, about 8 years ago, I sold my house in Diamond Bell Ranch, and bought a mobile home in Marana, about 40 miles closer to work. With the downsizing, I had to sell more than half my rifles. I once had one of the finest Mauser collections in the state, but when the sell off happened, it was some of the finest examples that went first. I believe some of the finest Mausers made were the pre-WW1 South American models. I still have some left that are pretty rare editions, but I wish I had the room so I didn't have to sell so many.
