Just like magic, the torts appear.

I could just see this one saying, "Oh no, did I miss it?!":

Feed stores better in a climate controlled building when it is hot, which is most of the time here! Where I keep mine, there is an evaporative cooler plus it is completely rodent-proof. Very important!

Actually, I was thinking about using the hay barn for a coop. It's a little big for that, but there's always room for expansion, if needed. If I go the coop route, I will be putting a swamp cooler on it. Where I want to build the run is at the back end of the property, a pretty good distance away. Still fulminating and formulating......and even foaming at the mouth. My brother makes pretty good beer!

Did you mention beer?? Huh, @maddbaggins would show us every week about his latest brew! I day dream about doing it.. I just got a smoker, turned out superb !!

Hi everyone! :p
Does anyone know why chickens lose feathers? Or cough or sneeze or have runny noses. I wished I wasn't in this situation :(

:welcome glad you joined in..

Molt, getting pecked.. Sneeze with a runny nose is no good.. Could be lots of things.. How long have they had the runny nose.. How old are they?
I am a few pages behind. I am sure someone else has chimmed in..

My girls have started laying! Exciting! I found the first one by chance while cleaning the coop. It seems a little early in terms of their age, not to mention that it is so hot out. I'm not 100% sure which one of the three are laying yet but I'll figure it out soon. Here are the past three days eggs compared to a store bought egg.
