Just heard a big commotion outside and ran out to find my favorite hen had fallen into the pond. Boy was she soaked so I took a towel and wrapped her up in it to soak up the excess water. She softly talked to me and then closed her eyes for a while. She's okay but it's a little cool up here today for her to run around soaked to the bone.

Use your hair dryer and see if you can turn her into a frizzle!

These Dang Chickens will not stay out of the house. They keep coming through the Doggy Door when I'm gone. The same 2. Both of my Delawares. Jerks poop right inside the door. Yesterday I came home and they were both cuddled up on the couch on my fresh laundry. 1 if them has even learned to go back out of the Doggy Door when I shoo her.

I noticed a few of you are talking of acquiring cattle, miniature and otherwise. Anyway, I have a few beef cattle I need to sell. One is a miniature Hereford heifer, then I have a full size Black Angus heifer and an adult Texas Longhorn cow as well. I can also deliver if you need. I haven't been able to upload photos all day...

Do you have A/C? Not dumb chickens. Found soft spot to nest also? Why not cool and a nice clean place to chill out. Are you leaving the TV on for them? Do you know if they have any favorite programs. Need to put up a sign bathroom outside in chicken for them.

I went to the Minnesota State Fair. And Oh my God! The chickens were hug! Orpington's the size if turkey's. Even the Silkies were hug. It was so much fun. The only ones that were normal size were the production breeds. One 4-H exhibitor told me, with pride, these are show birds. I should have asked about laying. Most of the pictures do not give you the idea of just how big they are.

Will I got 1 to load, it is a Black Australorp. Many of my pics did not turn out. I have several 15-20 sec clips. I need to figure out how to past them into one video. Earlier in the day I tried ti watch the judging but I was 15 min into it and could not get close there were so many people their. Nothing like AZ State Fair. The animal barns are just as crowded as the midway if not more so. The barns are as big as 2 of ours. I had to do a lot of walking before I even got to see anything. It had beed raining here so the humidity was sky high, do not know what the tempture was, but it took a lot out of me. I took the bus, they have locations all over to take people, there is not enough parking for everyone. I had mis information on location and the bus, by the time I got there I had to park on the 4th leaves, walk down and a football files to the bus.

I will be going next Tues, they are getting in other exhibitors and 4-H will be leaving. If you want me to send video snapshots as I take them, PM me with you cellphone numbers. I will be in the cattle barn as well as the chickens. If you only want chickens let me know.

Thanks! We've got 26 chicks coming and eventually will integrate the Cuckoo Marans roo that we have into the flock.

They are probably wondering why your coop is so much nicer than theirs.  Reminds me of that "meanwhile in Slovenia" video that someone posted here a day or two ago.  You haven't noticed any extra pizza cartons, cigarette butts, or beer cans lying around, have you?
