Yes. Also when they start sounding like someone is choking them early in the morning you are sure they are boys. Lol

I'm sure there are some incidences of hens with spurs but for the most part no.

I got them to breed so as soon as they settle into their breeding groups I will have some available.

Show girls?? they are sooo cute. I might be interested in eggs when you get them set up and going. I am in Tuson.

I have a friend in Tucson who has quail eggs you can try.

Can I ask who has quail eggs and what kind here in Tucson? I need to get some from Sill but still debating the quail situation.

I do have hens with spurs....it so ruined my thoughts of how to tell my hens and roos when young...lol but I found out leg size and an even bigger roll than comb size in my opinion.

Yes I got Silkies and showgirls. Who I just learned are now officially called naked neck silkies. The blue splash one is older and the partridges are pretty young yet. I think one of the partridges is a boy but time will tell.

I am super excited that my AM NN is laying green eggs. so I have a NN EE. I plan on putting another AM roo over them to improve beards and muffs. I LOVE it!!

I agree those ones with long gangly legs are almost always boys.
