Dave, if you need some fertile eggs for your broody hen I've got some and now that you're in STV you're not that far from my place. Let me know if you need some. I've got Golden Marans, BBS Orps, EE hens with the Golden Marans roo and a couple of EEs. Unfortunately my Ameraucanas went into molt and are not laying right now. I'm not planning on setting any in my incubator right now and I've finally broken my blue orp girl out of her broodiness so I can give you some of the above.
btw, congratulations on the move! I'm trying to catch up on here, been off for a few days and you all have been chatty!

I did go buy some TJ eggs but I'd like to hatch some of those as well. Thank you very much for the offer. How far are we from each other? I'm on the south-east of the San Tan Mountain range.

Poor Stubby, I hope she recovers.

I let my chickens run amuck through my compost heap. They turn it for me and it gets composted faster, as well as getting a little manure added to it. They love to dig through it!

On another board I read, there's a guy who doesn't buy feed at all. Fences in these huge compost piles and the chickens dog and scratch for their food. I mean HUGE piles too. Gets his materials by the truck load from local landscapers, school cafeterias etc. very cool. I'd love to be able to do that one day. Seems perfect to feed your chickens and ultimately your garden this way. Pigs can live this way too.

We've had some trouble with my elderly greyhound making trouble. I'm not confident in my ability to get them back in the pen at any time if we have to leave or if Bailey has to go out ... so for now ... they are in the pen for their own safety.

From what I've heard Marek's is progressive. My vet said eventually she'll lose all muscular control. :(

Sorry to hear this.

Oh, I just meant that it would probably be fine to give them some of your composting material. Our chickens are penned right now as well because of a bobcat making the rounds, so I know how it goes. Sometimes they have to stay in. I bring mine wheelbarrows full of leaves to dig through and other treats since they can't go about their usual routine right now.

It sounds like you're making her as comfortable as possible, poor girl.

Isn't it amazing? Chickens have provided me with so much relaxation and a deep sense of calm that I've never experienced before. It's proven that having animals in our lives helps us be healthier. :)

Glad to see that you've been able to drop a med! That's awesome! :hugs

Getting these girls has really dropped my stress level as well.

If you need eggs to hatch I will be having EE eggs for sale. They are from wheaten and blue wheaten roosters over RIR, PBR, EE, Light Brahama etc hens.

Thanks Where are you located? I'll hatch anything right now. Mostly due to excitement but I think it's time to get some more hens on the ground.

Anyone selling 2-5 (?) Month pullets near new river, anthem, peoria, north valley area? My chicks just died (2 month) and her companion is sorta confused without other chickens... preferably around 2-3 month old, thanks!

I thought I read the other day someone talking about some selling chickens up north there. Maybe read back a few pages if someone doesn't respond.

I had BBS and NN EE eggs but my BBS AM have went on strike but as soon as they start back I will have them and NN EE which I have 3 different color green eggs, LOVE THEM!!

Do you have any extra Wheaten or Blue Wheaten roosters for sale by chance?
Not yet but Miguel my youngest wants to go. We got rain and a ton of wind tonight.
