my new Black Copper Marans got the Fowl pox aka avian pox. I couldn't figure out why they were growing these black things on their combs and on their wattles of their face. Now I understand. My poor babies!!My EE, Billy, seems to have dry fowl pox. I noticed it last night and thought maybe she injured herself on something but after seeing your post it looks exactly like the dry pox. So, for those experienced, she is the only one with symptoms out of my 18 birds. Should I separate her? Is there anything I can do for her or the others to prevent this from spreading? And lastly, what are the chances that this will kill Billy or my other chickens? Ugh!!!

And no, none at all... she looked a little skinny, but the Andalusians are smaller than the others
At the coop tour, I noticed some birds have fowl pox.. I checked our flock and noticed 2 of our girls have it.. Such a bummer..read here it explains that there is really nothing we can do.. Just look for symptoms and treat, just like the flu.

Knowing which vaccine and where to get it would be good knowledge to have on hand. Inquiring minds???One other thing, there is a vaccine however, I don't know what feed store carries it.. Has anyone ever used the vaccine? Since it is slow moving and we have our next generation growing up..
