Moma hen Chris had eggs like that. I could not do the @ button. He name did not pull up or I spelt wrong..
I think the sussex is the only one NOT laying. hahahahahha OR maybe she laid the creamy egg on the right. I know the left egg is from one of the buff orpingtons. well Now I dunno, because honey is the one who hasn't been bred at all by the rooster. (it is my theory that the roo only breeds the ones who are laying)

the only way you can really tell if they're laying is holding them like a football and checking their two bones between the vent if you can fit a finger and a half or 2, there laying. And if they're combs & waddles are bright red.

ok finally broke down and got a incubator, :D for Christmas I guess, lol. I guess now its 21 days to lockdown, sure hope I did this right!

....it will be fun to see what my White Leghorn barnyard mix ends up being like! :jumpy

The three in question were bought as laying hens that had been laying when we bought them but stopped laying when we got them. New chicken has been here for 3 or 4 months now and just started laying (we think) after the rooster accepted her... I dunno, I just like chickens and eggs. Hahahahah

Let the "first egg" countdown begin again! I got me some new peeps! I have two gold laced wyandotte, two silver laced wyandotte and two black austrolorp!

I am still looking for an adult or chick buff polish in east mesa/phoenix and blue laced wyandottes. I would also like some sort of Maran, any but the standard color.... Chicken math in full effect over here.
My son got some carrots out of the garden today and we got 4 eggs!

They are so cute! And I'm so jealous that you have Gold Laced Wyandottes. That's one of the breeds I'm drooling over right now.

They are super cute! I got the gold laced and silver laced at stockman feed on buckeye and 75th ave in phoenix. They had a lot today, not sure where you are.

Down in Green Valley. If I brought home any more chicks right now I think my husband's head would explode....but next spring is a definite possibility. ;)

I know green valley and exploding heads. Hahah, I have driven the man crazy with my constant expansions. I have a good friend who lives out in your neck of the woods!
