I'm glad my girls are good about laying in their nest boxes. I would hate to have to hunt for eggs every day.

This is our famous Clair..

Oh good, what kind of incubator ? The one my DF let's me use does not have a automatic turner, si I am in there turning like 5x a day..
How many did you set? & what do you plan on doing with the chicks?

I know green valley and exploding heads. Hahah, I have driven the man crazy with my constant expansions. I have a good friend who lives out in your neck of the woods!

It's a beautiful area down here...very low crime, peaceful....I never thought I'd enjoy leaving so near a "retirement community" while still being so far from retirement age.

Right now I'm considering doing some conservation and improvement breeding of the Silver Grey Dorking. I know it will be a huge undertaking and require three more coops and a larger, enclosed run area but I'm still seriously considering it. I just informed my husband that next spring I may have around 30+ new chicks running around here. So far he's taking it pretty well. I'm wondering if he's fully awake.

....I threw in a couple of my Maran eggs just to see how they turn out for fun. I have just discovered that my two black copper roos have some lavender on the back of them, lol. I'm going to have to charge my slr cameras and get some good pictures and post it on the Black Copper Marans thread :D

does anybody else have a brinsea incubator? I need to know how often the eggs need to be turned. I spent an hour last night reading in on the 101 of incubation but I did not find how often they needed to be turned! :(

I got a lovely pair of black bantam Wyandottes... can't wait to breed them and get some nice babies. After I worm them, of course.

Pizza rolls recipe coming for y'all as soon as I dig it out of the family cookbook.
